To specialize ones task according to their expertise and knowledge is very important, but to make the job more exciting and self exploring there needs to variations so that the employees are able to upgrade their knowledge and skills.

Is it work specialization for business competitiveness or individual fulfillment? Breaking down a series of tasks into smaller components, and having different persons specialize in each of the tasks increases productivity, but repetition without the opportunity to explore beyond what is required to keep to the cycle time is against human nature. A musician specialising can become Beethoven, but a wheel assembly operator cannot explore possibilities without disrupting production flow or increasing costs. Operations management work specialization is a cruel way to suppress the creativity and potential of a person to satisfy the sales targets of corporations.

Specialisation in one area may result in good result but it will be monotonous job. Secondly creativeness in an employee will be stiffled. Scope for growth also will be limited.

Work specialisation in certain areas or job or departments are much necessary. But at the same time and in periods the employees or workers must also be trained in other areas and they must be made to know other connected jobs of the industry or trade in which they are working so that best results could be achieved from them. Specialising them in areas alone will yield good results at some times but making them specialised in all areas will give best results at all times.

work specialisation can lead to more effecient & progressive organisation .it can only be done in order when it is into parts and systematic .one can only get the best result when one is perfect in it and for that u need a specialisation .being a muiti taskar is good but apart from that there should be a specialisation in one task which can only be done by him in the best possible manner to give best output.
