In a big organisation Moslow theory of motivation is more suitable than any other theory.Although moslow theory and vroom theory is almost same except terminology, moslow theory is more easy to understand by employees

Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and other “Needs” theory are largely intuitive and unproven. But “expectancy theory” has empirical evidence in addition to making sound psychological sense.

It is true that Maslow’s theory is unproven. However, it does make the important point that certain basic “needs” need to be partially covered before top performance is given. Eg. if an employee is worried sick about his/her job security or debt problems, it is likely to affect his/her job performance

An excellent article. It is complementry to Maslows theory.Honestly entire theory depends on performence appraisal system existing in the org and valence of the award. If any of these is not satisfactory for the employee, level of motivatin will be poor in the org.
