Nice post on a rarely addressed topic.

I have worked in four software companies across India.
Workplace ethical issues are blatant and gross problems in companies I have seen. Its commonplace to find - all-day open personal mail site, chat windows, stock trade sites, forwarded entertaining e-mails on office mail-id.

I am witness to a record - one of my colleagues got >100 new fwd mails in a single fetch from server during an afternoon when he already has checked mails in morning !!

I believe these issues to be a major reason for our low productivity etc.

Work place ethics is areally major issue which every one consiously or sub consciously always give a thought. it requires thinking and rethinking on every ones' part to check our own actions. we all need to set our own principles and need to follow them without following what others do..
Such write ups will really click in the mind of the readers.
